Metriscope is versatile and visual real-time performance monitoring and diagnostic software. It allows system specific packages to be developed and installed into the Metriscope console. Metriscope utilizes patent pending technology.

The Metriscope console gives users the ability to view real-time or historic data, configure and view alarms, design visual layouts, generate reports and develop custom data collectors. It is also the application host for the system specific packages.

Metriscope provides an intuitive screen layout so that administrators can effortlessly check the health of their system by simply viewing the screen or looking at previously triggered alarms. System performance metrics and information are displayed using different visual components (containers, charts, etc.).

These components change color as their health decreases or improves. Metriscope also offers professional advice that is written by people who are experts in the particular system management domain. Metriscope not only saves you time, but also provides you with a wealth of education.

Metriscope also gives users the ability to easily design custom pages. Visual components can simply be selected, dropped onto a canvas page and linked to performance metrics with just a few mouse clicks. These visual components can be moved and resized so that the user can visually design their own custom page showing data only they are most interested in.

One of Metriscope's main strengths is its ability to allow the user to effortlessly configure alarms and alarm actions. Users can define severity thresholds on particular metrics and link actions to the raised alarm. Also, time-based alarms can be configured to allow for spasmodic system behavour. Alarm counts for the different severities are always visible from the main window so that the user can immediately check alarm logs and historic data.

Here are some key features of "Metriscope":

Real-time performance diagnostics on many different systems within one console
· Metriscope allows users to connect to many systems simultaneously inside the one application. For example, a user can have one or more Windows, SQL Server and IIS connections open to different servers at the same time.
Intuitive screen layout
· Administrators can effortlessly check the current health of their system by simply viewing the screen. Performance information is displayed visually using a range of different visual components. A range of intuitive colors are used to reflect the health of each metric.
Flexible alarm configuration
· Metriscope allows the user to setup custom alerts and define appropriate actions that get executed. The user can setup alarms based on any performance metric. MetriScope provides the user with a variety of alert types including time-based alerts (to allow for spasmodic system behavior), loss of connection alerts and a built-in range of triggered actions that can be setup.
Customized pages
· User defined custom pages can be created easily. Visual components (charts, tables, texts, lists, containers, gauges, spinners, speedometers, bouncers, labels & panels) can be dropped onto pages and moved or resized. Users can design pages that only display information they are most interested in. Also, performance information from any number of separate connections can be setup on the one page.
History recording
· All monitored metric data is recorded and periodically written to disk. This data can be easily viewed and inspected later.
Reporting
· Metriscope allows the user to generate two different types of reports - Metric history reports and triggered alarm reports.
Adjustable refresh intervals
· Metriscope allows users to easily adjust the refresh timing settings for each individual connection. The user can easily switch into a more intensive refresh mode if an issue arrises.

Limitations:

· Trial 30-day License
· Allows connection to 5 instances concurrently for a total of 30 days. After the 30 day trial period you will be required to purchase the package if you wish to continue using it.
